On January 2, 1979, Telephone Communications Inc (TCI) began as a telephone interconnect company with humble beginnings. Kenneth Bice, CEO and President of TCI, had a dream of having his own company and providing top quality telephone equipment and service to businesses.
Today, TCI is a low-voltage systems contractor and IT services firm and maintains a high level of commitment to servicing its customers. TCI is the leading state licensed Low-Voltage General Contractor in the Eastern Alabama area. TCI provides services in electronic telecommunications, security, life safety, networking, information technology, controls and automation, audio/video, and managed services. TCI has extensive cabling experience in governmental and non-governmental projects and has completed several small to large projects with a high degree of customer satisfaction. TCI is thriving with year after year increases in growth. TCI has 17 employees, who work in its telecommunications, security, and information technology divisions. In operating the day-to-day operations, Kenneth and Fran (Corporate Secretary/Treasurer) have relied upon family and other highly trusted people to help run TCI. Barry Russell is the Vice President and Senior IT Systems Manager. Jimmy Houston is the Installation Manager, and Doris Dixon is the Office Manager.
The key to TCI’s success will continue to be its service, and its ability to adapt to market trends and dynamics.
